When two different surfaces are placed together, there is always somewhat of a space between them. This space, however small, can lead to leaks of liquids or gasses if not properly sealed. Gaskets are used to create this air tight seal and ensure that no fluid leaks in your vehicle. Gaskets can be as simple as connecting two flat faces or more complicated by connecting multiple surface to one another.
